| E-Scope II Clinical Model |
|
|
.....the most advanced electronic stethoscope available today |
|
|
Welcome to the most advance electronic stethoscope available today and the only electronic stethoscope that allows you to change heads! Slim-line design. The E-Scope is a slim-line design that easily wraps around the neck when not in use. It is lighter than an acoustic stethoscope. Finger-tip Control. All the controls for volume and heart sound or breath sound filters are on the head of the stethoscope making it easy for the user to set the volume or filter. Volume control. On the stethoscope head, there is a + and – symbol that allows the user to increase or decrease the sound level very easily. The E-Scope II amplifies heart and breath sounds with up to 64 gain positions. At maximum volume, the E-Scope II is 30x louder than an acoustic stethoscope! Filter control. A frequency switch for heart sounds (45-900 Hz) and breath sounds (50-2000 Hz). This allows the listener to concentrate on a particular sound Automatic shut off. The E-Scope shuts off automatically after two minutes. Automatic volume restart. The E-Scope remembers the last volume setting so that when it is turned on, the volume will be set to the previous volume. Off-the-Shelf Battery. The E-Scope uses a standard off-the-shelf AAA battery that operates the E-Scope for 6-8 months assuming usage at 30 times per day, 6 days per week. Replacement batteries are available at any supermarket or drug store. Extra ear tips. The E-Scope
is supplied with two additional types of ear tips Ability to change heads. Most electronic stethoscopes have a fixed diaphragm with an electronic switch to change to a bell. Most physicians, however, prefer a physical bell as is found on an standard acoustic stethoscope. A real bell allows the physician to listen to lower frequencies in a manner in which he/she is most accustomed. A bell is used to listen to the lower frequencies and has no diaphragm touching the skin. By pressing the bell on the skin, it can be stretched forming a natural diaphragm. The E-Scope II includes an adult and pediatric diaphragm, 2 types of earpieces, including the soft cushion type and carrying case.
It even comes with a 1 year warranty and lifetime technical support. |

The design of the E-Scope significantly Maximum Amplitude. For the E-Scope II, the maximum amplitude or sound pressure level output without distortion is 120 dB at 100 Hz. This is about 30 times louder than an acoustic stethoscope. Operator’s Manual and Instructional CD-ROM. A complete Operator’s Manual as well as an informal instructional CD-ROM is included with each E-Scope. E-Scope uses. Welcome to the only electronic
stethoscope that allows you to change heads! It even comes with a 1 year warranty and lifetime technical support. The E-Scope II is an electronic stethoscope that amplifies heart and breath sounds with up to 64 gain positions. At maximum volume, the E-Scope II is 30x louder than an acoustic stethoscope! The E-Scope Electronic Stethoscope, cat. nos. 718-7750 ($450.00) or 718-7710 ($396.00), is designed for individuals with in-the-ear (ITE) type hearing aids. Both are supplied with low-frequency headphones that should be placed over the ears. The ITE hearing aids are not removed. The dB level of the E-Scope is 130 dB SPL. This is approximately 30 times louder than a normal acoustic stethoscope. The difference between the above two models is that cat. no. 718-7750 is supplied with two Specialist Heads (bell and diaphragm) while model 718-7710 is supplied with a Specialist Diaphragm. The Specialist heads are machined from high-grade stainless. They provide a superior frequency input (by 50%) which improves sound sensitivity and they have a heavier feel and less likelihood of outside noise. This is important for a hearing impaired user. Both of the above stethoscopes clip onto the belt or lab coat or the belt clip can be removed. The normal stethoscope earpieces have been removed and replaced with an external set of low frequency headphones. These headphones are placed over the ears without removing the hearing aid. This has worked very well for the vast majority of hearing aid users. Enclosed is the literature for your review. The E-Scope amplifies the heart and/or breath sounds or Korotkoff sounds. It has maximum amplitude or sound pressure level output of 130 dB distortion without distortion (about 30 times that of an acoustic stethoscope). Additionally, the sounds are amplified without appreciable amplification of room or background noise. This makes it much easier to hear a low, rumbling murmur or faint AI blows. A frequency switch allows the user to switch between heart and breath sound frequencies. The stethoscope has several features as follows: 1. An output that allows the user to connect (a) to earphones for placing over a hearing aid, Cardionics cat. no. 718-0405, (b) a second listener using a stethophone or headphone, (c) a PDA for display of heart sounds on the Pocket Monitor software, (d) a computer or (e) a tape recorder,2. A frequency switch for heart sounds (20-1000 Hz) and breath sounds (70-2000 Hz), 3. A variable volume control,
IMPORTANT NOTE: Hearing deficiencies vary considerably from person to person. Your audiologist is the best source of information on your particular hearing problem. You should consult with your audiologist if you have any specific questions about the use of your hearing aid with the E-Scope Electronic Stethoscope or any similar device. Additional: Need DAI or Silhouette Cord |

"Just wanted to say thanks for your help a couple of weeks ago, and fast turnaround getting me the specialist diaphragm. It is absolutely superb. Terrific isolation from environmental sounds and increased clarity of lung and heart sounds. Many times better than with the stock diaphragm. The E-Scope is my favorite amplified stethoscope, and I have tried two other brands." (Robert Warren, MD, Houston, TX) Texas oldest working EMT uses the E-Scope II to further his career. "While I'm not hearing impaired, I get repeated outer ear infections and I'm grateful for your product. So many of us suffer from sore ears from repeated micro-trauma to the ear canals" (Dr. Stuart Dyment)
"When using the E-Scope II for Blood Pressures and Heart Sounds, the device is so good that I don't even have to tell a patient to take a deep breath to hear the breath sounds"(Joanne DeFilippo, R.N.Brigham and Woman's Hospital). |
